Lighting Control and Coding

Models produced before 2016 cannot be coded for integration with the vehicle’s ambient-lighting menu. These vehicles use the compatible mobile app to control the colours and supported lighting effects.

Compatible models produced from 2016 onwards can be coded for integration with the vehicle’s ambient-lighting menu. If the required menu is not already active, it can be enabled using the DHStyling coding tool and coding program.

The coding tool is sold separately and is not automatically included with the ambient lighting kit.

Coding compatibility depends on the vehicle’s model year, factory head unit, specification and installed equipment.

Installation

Professional installation is strongly recommended. Installation requires the removal of dashboard and door components, careful routing of the wiring and connection of the vehicle-specific lighting modules.

The kit includes the required control modules, wiring and installation accessories for the selected Mercedes model.
